A BBW is pretty much a fat woman, considered to be overweight to most people of society. BBW is short for “Big Beautiful Woman.” A BHM is pretty much the male counterpart of a BBW. BHM stands for “Big Handsome Man.” Also, there are SSBBW and SSBHM, which stands for “Super-sized Big Beautiful Woman” and “Super-sized Big Handsome Man,” respectively. These are what FAs and FFAs tend to call attractive overweight people. I went searching through my old archives of FA information in my computer and managed to find an old chart explaining the weights of what is considered what:
Normal: <185lbs
Chubby: >185, <200lbs
Plump: >200, <250lbs
BBW: >250, <350lbs
SSBBW: >350, <550lbs
Now this chart can also go for BHMs and SSBHMs, as well. This chart happens to be a universal weight chart. However, it can be differentiated by height as well. For example, a woman who’s five foot two could weigh 350 pounds and be considered a SSBBW or a man who’s five foot eleven could be 250 pounds and be considered chubby instead of plump.
Of course, there is different terminology for the different type of women one can find. An overweight African-American female is considered a BBBW (Big, Beautiful, Black Woman), as well as an SSBBBW (Super-Sized Big, Beautiful, Black Woman). Also, an immobile woman could be considered an UltraBBW (Ultra-Sized BBW). However, the UltraBBW is rare, since not that many women are around the weight to be considered as such.
Strangely enough, there isn’t that many terms for the BHMs. In fact, BHM and SSBHM are the only terms I heard of. I have heard some males use the word “Rubenesque,” however.
Women who are BBWs or SSBBWs tend to feel bad about the way they look. However, most of them are pretty beautiful. It is society’s fault making them feel that way, because these women see girls like Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian getting all the guys and being popular and everything. One instance that shows how BBWs are mistreated and wrongly portrayed in the media is the new Fox reality show, “More to Love.” These women are always complaining how bad they feel and how they can’t find a man because of their weight. Honestly, the only thing stopping from finding a guy are themselves. I know plenty of overweight women who have boyfriends and husbands, and some of them are bigger than those women on that show!
Honestly, if you’re a BBW, SSBBW, BHM, SSBHM, or anything in between, you should be proud. You all are extremely awesome and as attractive as any skinny girl or guy, if not better-looking! There’s absolutely no reason you should feel bad about the way you look. Don’t listen to the media when they say that you’re not attractive enough to find love, or that you shouldn’t go out and have fun because fat people don’t have social lives! You all are able to do anything you wanna do! So go out there and do it, and have fun while doing it! WAVE THAT PRIDE FLAG HIGH!

Letter to the Big, Beautiful Women
Dear Big Beautiful Women of the world,
Never let anyone tell you that you're not amazing. You are some of the most wonderful, fantastic people on the face of the Earth. Some of you are our friends, some of you are our family, and some of you are even our lovers. You offer the world all that you are, and most of the time, you ask for nothing in return but our love and respect.
To the single women, do not fret. You will find someone who loves you no matter what. Don't give up, even if you have had bad relationships in the past. Those guys could not appreciate who you are, but there is someone out there who would. Never give up searching for the right one for you. For all you know, he could be right in front of you and you'll never know it. And women who have a good man, HOLD ON TO THEM. They love you for who you are, not how you look. If they tell you that you look like the most beautiful woman in the world, believe them instead of bringing yourself down because you think that you don't look good because of society's norms.
For the ones who feel as though you aren't as beautiful as they say, change that thought. Tell yourself in the mirror every morning that you are beautiful. Yes, there are women that are more beautiful than you, but remember that they aren't YOU. The only one who can tell you that you are one of the most beautiful women ever is you. And if someone says something negative about the way you look, don't sulk or tell them something negative. Just laugh and assure them that you know you are beautiful no matter what anyone says. Wear your cleavage out or your clothes as tight as you want to. People are going to be negative anyways to make themselves feel more superior. It's just how you react to the situation that determines if it works or not.
Don't feel bad about the way you are. If you like the way you are, then stay that way. If you feel as though you are beautiful, EMBRACE that feeling. Never let anyone bring you down about the way that you are. You are big, beautiful, and wonderful. Be confident in your curves! Eat what you wanna eat and don't feel guilty about it! Nothing will bring you down if you do. Society may say that the most beautiful women are a size 0, but that's their opinion. Don't let it be yours. Remember, even if you think that no one thinks you're beautiful or amazing, there is at least one person who thinks you are (me!).
Lover of all big, beautiful women everywhere,

What is a Fat Admirer?
A "fat admirer", as stated in my previous post, is a person who is attracted to fat people. This term however, is mostly used as a way to label the men who like fat women. For example, I have been labeled as a fat admirer since I am attracted to fat women. For the women, however, there's the term "female fat admirers" (which is kinda obvious). These are the women who have an attraction for fat men. Also, these terms can also be used for homosexual and bisexual individuals as well. There was the term "chubby chasers" being used for the homosexuals, but from what I heard, they don't really use that term in the community anymore.
FAs can be classified into groups. There's the "closet FA," who is an FA but not very public about it and the "outed FA," who is an FA who is very public about it. People can be one or the other, but never both. Closet FAs are usually that way because they might be afraid that their peers might not accept it. Outed FAs, however, don't really care what their peers say and publicly announce their attraction to anyone. There are some people who are confused as to whether they are an FA or not. You might be an FA and not even realize it!
However, I will say that I don't really agree with the term. "Fat admirer" makes it sound like I'm only admiring the fat of a woman. Yes, I am admiring the curves, but I am also admiring the beauty of the woman in general. Fat women have a special kind of beauty that skinny women don't. Don't get me wrong, I love women of ALL sizes. I'm just more attracted to women of larger size.
Some folks believe that it is a freaky thing being attracted to overweight people. But for most of us, it’s just a preference. For example, there are some guys out there who are attracted to just redheads or blue-eyed gals. You don’t ridicule them for that, do you? So basically, there’s no reason to ridicule an FA for what he likes.

Common Terms
Here are some common terms found within the fat community. I will state the terms first then the acronym and finally the definition.
Basic Terms
Fat Admirer (FA) - A male whom is attracted to fat females (or fat male if gay).
Female Fat Admirer (FFA) - A female whom is attracted to fat males (or fat females if gay).
Big, Beautiful Woman / Women (BBW) - A fat woman / women (considered "overweight" to most of society).
Big, Handsome Male / Men (BHM) - A fat man / men (considered "overweight" to most of society).
Super-Sized Big, Beautiful Woman / Women (SSBBW) - A very fat woman / women (considered "obese" to most of society).
Super-Sized Big, Handsome Male / Men (SSBHM) - A very fat man / men (considered "obese" to most of society).
There are also some more rare terms used within the community:
Big, Beautiful, Black Woman / Women (BBBW) - A fat, black woman / women (considered "overwight" to most of society).
Super-Sized Big, Beautiful, Black Woman / Women (SSBBBW) - A very fat, black woman / women (considered "obese" to most of society).
Ultra-Sized Big, Beautiful Woman / Women (USBBW) - An incredibly fat woman / women (considered "extremely obese" to most of society).
There are some terms that sometimes, though rarely, fall into the basic terms. This deals with the "Feederism" sub-community, which I will go deeper into on another blog post.
Feeder - A person whom finds it gratifying to feed their partner or another person food.
Feedee - A person whom finds it gratifying to be fed by their partner or another person with food.
Gainer - A person whom finds it gratifying to gain weight.
Encourager - A person whom encourages their partner or another person to gain weight.
Stuffer - A sub-term of "feedee" whom finds gratification in stuffing themselves (or by way of another person) with food.
One of the terms in the gay community, "chubby chaser," is not often used, especially within the fat culture. Unfortunately, I have heard people use this term outside the gay community to label regular FAs, but I just thought you'd like to know that it's not for use anywhere but the gay community. However, I haven't heard it been used at all, let alone the gay community so I don't think this term is actually in use anymore. But I'm not gay, so what do I know?
Please note that I will be going into more deeper into detail about these different terms later on in this blog, so you will have a better understanding of them. But for now, know these terms. And if I missed anything or if something is wrong, please do not hesitate to leave me a comment stating what it is.

Why I started this blog
I admit that I am someone who has a certain attraction for women who are on the plus side. Before you start calling me a freak, you must realize that there are a lot of people who are attracted overweight people. In fact, there are large online communities of them on the Internet with people all over the world! Some people, however, seem to take that as a joke or as something to make others feel bad about themselves. I don’t exactly how many there are, but there are a lot of people who are in the closet about being attracted to overweight people, so they can be accepted by their peers and the rest of society. I, however, am one of those who doesn’t really care what my peers or the rest of society thinks, and can say that I love overweight women loudly!
However, don’t think that I only am attracted to overweight women. Honestly, I love women of all shapes and sizes. Granted, there are a bunch of men who only like overweight women (or men, if they swing that way) and vise versa. To that I say, like to most things, “to each his or her own.” But I don’t think that you should discriminate against skinny folks if you like overweight folks better. That just makes you no better than the people who discriminate against overweight folks.
I also think that anyone can be beautiful or handsome at any size. Nowadays, I hear people saying to overweight people or about overweight people, “You’re kinda cute girlie, but you’ll look even better if you lost some pounds,” or, “He’s remotely attractive, but he should do some exercise more so he wouldn’t be so chubby.” That, dear readers, is not acceptable. If you find a person a bit attractive, overweight or not, don’t say something bad about the way they look because that means that you’re not really attracted to them in the first place. Not to mention, by saying something like that, they’ll hear that and feel pretty bad about themselves, thinking that they are not attractive, or worse, when the truth is that they are.
Well, that's all I'm talking about today. Next time, I'll introduce some common terms known in the fatosphere!
